About the event

How are cloud technologies and Artificial Intelligence changing approaches to the study and preservation of cultural heritage? How can digital platforms boost the development of alternative forms of tourism – from industrial to gastronomic? Why are fragmented digital solutions increasingly giving way to complex ecosystems, and what does this mean for museum and tourism spheres? How are modern technologies reimagining the format of corporate museums and transforming the perception of corporate history? Finally, what are the HR challenges that the sphere at the intersection of information technology, culture, and tourism faces?

We invite you to find answers to these and other questions at the II International Research & Practice Conference ’Information Technologies in the Preservation and Promotion of Cultural Heritage.’ The conference will take place on September 10–11, 2026, in St. Petersburg.

The main goal is to create an interdisciplinary platform to exchange experience among researchers, museum professionals, urbanists, place marketers, tourism industry representatives, and IT specialists. Together, we will discuss how digital tools are reshaping the tourism geography of cities, whether heritage can become a real driver of regional economies, and examine specific cases and common mistakes in technology implementation.

Venue: Kanatny Tsekh, 6 25th Liniya, Vasilievsky Ostrov, Korpus 1, HSE University, Saint Petersburg
