Museum educational online services: HANDBOOK
This publication is one of the first attempts at creating an annotated guide describing the resources of museums in online education. It reflects educational museum resources posted on the websites of about three hundred of the world's leading museums, on the websites of international and national museum associations and educational platforms.
Handbook includes annotated information about 670 online resources and services of formal and non-formal education:
The publication reflects the state of the market for museum educational online products for January 2020, i.e. on the eve of the introduction of restrictive measures due to the pandemic.

The authors of the guide want to draw the attention of users and developers of educational online products to educational products that have not yet received widespread distribution, developed by museums themselves, museums in cooperation with universities or on the basis of museum collections. Thus, familiarity with the materials of the reference book will allow:
users
easier to find educational products that interest them
museum specialists
get to know more deeply the experience of colleagues developing educational online products and develop a strategy for transferring museum online products into the educational sphere
teachers of universities and other organizations developing educational products
see the possibilities of establishing cooperation with museums to use various museum online products, primarily educational, when developing online courses
The materials of the guide are placed as conveniently as possible for users:
1) first, all identified resources are grouped by their types (MOOC, SPOС, games, etc.);
2) within each type, the resources are arranged in alphabetical order of the names of the organizations that created them.
In this case, the numbering of records is continuous for each type of resources. Most of the resources of the directory contain a short annotation taken from the description of the resource itself on the site. The entire array of resources has been reviewed by the compilers de visu.
