The Laboratory team is currently working on the following research projects:
Systematic approach to transforming the digital environment of museums
The research is aimed to identify, validate, and systematize the priority museum activities under the digital environment transformation in order to solve cultural, social, and economic problems of museum development.
As a result of the research it is intended to define the main transformation directions of the museum digital environment; to systematize the various types of educational online resources of museums in terms of their applicability in formal and informal education; to develop a system of digital methods used in the marketing and fundraising museum activity; to define the main cooperation formats that are based on the usage of digital tools; to develop the recommendations for the monetization of museum online products.

Actualization of online education practices of museums
The project provides a study of the practice of educational activities by museum organizations in the context of the total spread of online education. The main vector of research is the classification of educational products of museums that meet educational standards and have innovative elements.
The main result of the project is the publication of a guidebook of educational museum online products used in formal and non-formal types of education - Museum educational online products: Guidebook.

Analysis of the development potential of cultural and tourist clusters located in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Karelia, the Murmansk region and in the border zone of Russia-Finland
The project is aimed at studying promising tourist clusters in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Karelia, the Murmansk region and in the Russia-Finland border zone using the means of developing these clusters. Within the framework of the project, special attention will be paid to the issues of establishing one regional cluster and international interaction both within one cluster and between them. As a result of the study of promising cultural and tourist clusters of intersettlement and border types; secondly, a database was formed for the use of cultural and tourist clusters used in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and along the Russian-Finnish border.
The project is being implemented jointly with researchers from the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Petrozavodsk State University"
