Laboratory of Cultural Economics participated in the Coference "St. Petersburg — We Accept Tourists"

At the end of June the Laboratory of Cultural Economics participated in the Coference "St. Petersburg — We Accept Tourists".
The Cinference was organized by KASSIR.RU in the Saint Petersburg Court Chapel.  Alexey Gorgadze - research assistant of LEK - submitted the report "Digital traces of cultural tourism".

At the end of June the Laboratory of Cultural Economics participated in the Coference "St. Petersburg — We Accept Tourists". The Cinference was organized by KASSIR.RU in the Saint Petersburg Court Chapel.  Alexey Gorgadze - research assistant of LEK - submitted the report "Digital traces of cultural tourism". In the report was told about the potential of digital researches in the tourism industry and feature of cultural tourism. As an example results of the analysis of digital traces was presented "Night of Museums 2017" - the results within last year project of the "Network Researches". Against the background of modern scandals with use of information from social networks (for example, Facebook case), it is important to show that in some sectors use of similar data will positively affect its development. The report made an impression on listeners and caused a rough discussion during coffee break.
At a conference there were representatives of travel agencies and private guides, representatives of the Committee on Tourism Development of St. Petersburg, cultural institutions and also organizers of the largest actions for inhabitants and city visitors.
