XIX Round Table of the State Hermitage Museum “The Museum and Problems of Cultural Tourism”

On April 1, a researcher of the Laboratory, Irina Alekseevna Sizova delivered a report “Development of the digitalization process in the activities of Russian museums (based on the materials from a survey of members of the Union of Russian Museums)” within the framework of the 19th Round Table of the State Hermitage Museum “The Museum and Problems of Cultural Tourism”.

At the conference Irina Alekseevna Sizova presented the report “Development of the digitalization process in the activities of Russian museums (based on the materials from a survey of members of the Union of Russian Museums)”. The authors of the report are Gordin, V.E.,  Kudelkina, A.N., Sizova, I.A..

Irina Alekseevna said that as part of the work on the project Program of Fundamental Research, options for digitalizing the areas of work with visitors to Russian museums were studied.  As noted by the respondents, digitalization affected both the content activities of museums (the introduction of online tours, online lectures, the development of augmented reality expositions, etc.), as well as various services that improve the quality of services provided by museums (online navigators, online tickets sales, museum online stores, etc.).
