The festival as a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary project: the competencies of festival managers

On June 16, an online seminar was held within the framework of the advanced training course "Technologies for organizing and promoting events" developed by the Institute for Cultural Programs. The speaker of the seminar was Valery Ernstovich Gordin, Head of the Laboratory for Cultural Economics.

The main topic of the seminar was the issue of updating managerial competencies for festival organizers. There was a discussion about new motivational patterns of festival participants and organizers; about the main promising trends in the event industry; about the characteristics of next-generation festivals; and about the impact of the "post-covid" syndrome on the organization of cultural events.

Special attention was paid to the competencies, the need for which was clearly manifested during the covid period.
