Лекция Кристиана Беренса в НИУ ВШЭ - Санкт-Петербург 15 июня 2016г.

Научный руководитель Лаборатории теории рынков и пространственной экономики Кристиан Беренс выступит с лекцией на тему "Analyzing geographic clusters using coagglomeration patterns" в Санкт-Петербургской школе экономики и менеджмента.

Аннотация: 

The geographical concentration of economic activity is pervasive and has attracted substantial policy interest in many countries. This lecture reviews recent research in agglomeration and explains how coagglomeration patterns between industry pairs can be used to: (i) more accurately define clusters; (ii) understand the basic forces driving them; and (iii) construct instruments that allow us to investigate the causal impacts of clusters on various economic outcomes. We pay particular attention to a broad range of fundamental identification issues concerning both the mechanisms and the outcomes.
